Corporate Social and Environmental Research

Report

GreenLink Trust

This environmental equities fund was established in 1996, by EquitiLink and currently has $441,000 under management. It appeared to be set up without any clear environmental criteria or without any clear direction as to its environmental investment philosophy. The Fund has however produced a list of environmental questions to ask companies that it is considering investing in. Its investment management staff also consider the environmental issues when selecting stocks. The Trust is however considering establishing some form of expert committee to possible oversee investment selection. It is too early to effectively evaluate the Trusts's environmental or financial performance, To date the Trust would appear to have mainly invested in environmentally positive or neutral stocks.Early indications would suggest that the Fund is probably taking a more socially and progressive investment stance than Tyndale's Ethical Balanced Investment Trust or Tower's Ethical Growth Insurance and Superannuation Bonds.

Current investments include:
Pact Resources
Environmental Developments
National Mutual Holdings
The Environmental Group
Environmental Recovery Services
Ipoh Gardens Aust
