Economic Evaluations of Environmental Projects

"Economic Evaluation of the Barker Inlet, Range and Magazine Creek Wetlands" which required an identification and valuation of environmental factors for MFP Australia.

Earth Sanctuaries Ltd, believed to be Australia's first conservation based public company, required assistance, in 1993, with the development of a prospectus in which it was assisted by Ecobusiness Consultants.

Regional Economic Development Projects

As part of the Regional Research Network, Ecobusiness Consultants developed a business plan for the SA South Central Regional Network Inc. Ecobusiness also completed an economic development strategy for tourism and environment for this diverse region covering such areas as the Adelaide Hills, Kangaroo Island, The Murraylands, The Fleurieu Peninsula comprising areas of industrial estates and winegrowing areas of Southern Adelaide.

A network of independent musicians, music recording principals, venue proprietors and retailers is being established to strengthen and expand the music industry in Southern Adelaide. The Southern Music Alliance has been funded by AusIndustry and Arts SA to undertake this work .

Mitcham City Council of South Australia commenced a" Youth Cafe" project and engaged Ecobusiness Consultants Pty Ltd as part of ReGensa Inc. to undertake the feasibility and availability of a band rehearsal space in the Mitcham area .

Community Development and Business Enterprises with Aboriginal Communities

"Explore Documents of Reconciliation " , Aboriginal Reconciliation Council, ( April, 1996) ( Joint project with Working Together Pty Ltd and Keys Young & Associates) The project is to provide a research database , summary papers and draft issue promotional materials for use by the Council and its Secretariat. Such materials would support Council's public awareness, community education and consultation strategies with indigenous and wider community networks within Australian Society.

Business Plans for community enterprises including :

  • A Building Company,

  • A Abalone Aquaculture Project and

  • A Recycling Project

Preparation of Business Plans For Community Organisations and Businesses

Business Plans for a variety of community groups including :

  • Doppio Teatro, Theatre Company,

  • Band Practice Venue as part of a Youth Project for Local Government ,

  • An independent music network called the Southern Music Alliance. and

  • The SA South Central Regional Network, a regional development organisation.

A business plan for a 11 million dollar eco- tourist development, near Cairns, in Far North Queensland.

A business plan for an urban development in Adelaide with strict environmental principles and costings. This project, by its nature, required unique funding , costing and reporting systems to be put in place.

Benchmarking


Doppio Teatro are a theatre company in Adelaide, South Australia that are believed to be the first in the world to undertake a benchmarking exercise. This is being facilitated by Ecobusiness Consultants and benchmarks are being developed for:

  • Financial Performance,

  • Artistic Performance,

  • Marketing Performance and

  • Management Performance

Submissions to Inquiries and Government Departments

The Soil Conservation Council of South Australia, the peak soil conservation body in South Australia, prepared a submission to the Industry Commission of Ecological Sustainable Land Management. The preparation of this report was facilitated by Ecobusiness Consultants.

Pioneer Building Products Limited engaged Ecobusiness Consultants to prepare a submission to Local Government on a prosposed residential subdivision. Issues addressed included " Open Space" and greenfields development.
