The EIC is part of the State government department of
Primary Industries, it provides information on small business energy safety
and efficiency. Advice is given on the most appropriate ways of minimising

Sustainable Energy Development Authority
(SEDA)
SEDA is the NSW sustainable energy authority. Their 'Energy Smart' business
partners scheme.
The SEDA scheme is one of the most advanced in Australia and their site has
many good ideas and tools for cutting energy costs in business.

Catchment Management Boards
Each of the metropolitan river systems has a catchment management board. The
job of the management boards is to minimise the amount of pollutants flowing
into the river systems.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
The EPA a division of the State Government Department of Environment and Heritage, is the environmental regulator for South Australia. It's job is to to protect South Australia's air and water quality and protects against noise, waste and pollution.
The EPA possess a vast body of knowledge concerned with reduction in energy use, waste minimisation and pollution prevention. Improvement in these areas has potential to increase the economic bottom line of small business.
Small Business Pollution Prevention Project (SBPPP).
This project targets small to medium business with the aim of providing an
educational forum for companies in particular geographical areas, in collaboration
with local councils and Catchment Management Water Boards.
Workshops aim to raise the awareness of companies about the environmental impact of their operations and highlight the benefits, both environmental and financial, that can result from implementing pollution prevention and cleaner production measures in their own businesses.

Cogeneration is the use of heat produced in a process to generate electricity,
steam or heat water.
Often the heat must be produced in a particular process this heat instead

Australian Cogeneration Association
The Australian Cogeneration Association (ACA) is an independent, non-profit,
industry association. It was formed in 1993 to actively encourage the growth
of cogeneration and represent the interests of cogenerators and distributed
generators. The ACA represents over 100 members including leading players
from a range of fields in the energy sector.

The Australian Greenhouse Office (AGO) was set up in 1997 to help Australia meet its greenhouse gas reductions as set out in the Kyoto Protocol.
